Is A Live Food Diet Now the Way To Go? -- By Amirah Bellamy Platinum Quality Author Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/5489419

It's the hottest topic among the health conscious, doctors are recommending it to many of their patients, and dieters are using it as a way to detox and lose weight. A live food diet, also known as a raw food diet, is quickly becoming the best thing since sliced bread. What began as an outlandish and over-the-top venture for nutritional enthusiasts has now become what many are referring to as a long sought after miracle cure for many of today's health pandemics.

In the event that you don't know what a live food diet is it's a diet where only live, plant-based, uncooked, unprocessed foods are consumed. Live foods consists of foods either not cooked at all or cooked at or below 118 degrees. Essentially, a raw foodist consumes only fresh fruits, fresh juices, fresh vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds legumes and some seaweed.

The benefit of eating this way is that it ensures that the body absorbs as much of the live vitamins, minerals, nutrients and enzymes as possible from food. A live food diet is also said to lower the risk of cancer, diabetes, stroke and other deadly diseases. It can lower cholesterol and blood pressure levels, give you increased energy, clearer skin, improved digestion and longevity. Additionally, some raw foodists even report having a heightened sensitivity to the energy around them.

Suffice it to say that, a live food diet is the way to go these days especially amidst all the pandemics like obesity, diabetes, and cancers. Aside from that, with all the killer ingredients (and I do mean that literally) being pumped into food these days live foods seem to be the most full-proof way of ensuring that what you are feeding your body is nutritionally sound.
